Maja Mannila Trio feat. Mikko Antila

Maja Mannila is an impressive young jazz/soul singer, pianist and composer. With her band, she performs her own English songs which are a mix of r’n’b, soul, jazz and gospel music. Raised in a family of musicians, she has a firm grasp on making music, while at the same time she emphasizes that freedom and fun are important in creating and playing music.

In the future, Mannila aims for recording and performing internationally both with her band and as a solo artist. The Maja Mannila trio was selected for the 2023 Nordic Jazz Comets event to represent new jazz from Finland. Maja’s debut album Up & Down released in June 2022 was well-received in the domestic media. Her second album Seasons, was released in fall 2023. At this special show in Korppoo, the band will be joined by the amazing multi-instrumentalist Mikko Antila who performs at other festival shows as well. There will be an evening full of musical celebration in a historically idyllic environment.
