Sibis Jazz Youngsters

Jazz is well and alive in Finland! It is unbelievably fine to listen to the music of the students of the Youth Department of Sibelius-Academy. Korpo Sea Jazz House Band, that has for years entertained here in Nauvo guest harbor is taking a day off and will now be replaced by Sibis Jazz Youngsters. Young people between the age of 13 and 18 years are studying to play in three different ensembles under the direction of Ape Anttila as well as improvisation, aesthetics and the general rules of jazz music under direction by special teachers. In Nauvo guest harbor one will hear mostly standards, well familiar to the jazz public, as well as a few more recent jazz pearls. Enjoy the excellent skills of these young artists and feel safe knowing that jazz in Finland is in secure hands.
