Tuomo Uusitalo Trio

Tuomo Uusitalo, an internationally awarded jazz pianist and active in New York since 2012, has had his lifepath take him back to Helsinki after the years abroad. The trio Uusitalo established after his homecoming plays both original compositions as well as standards and the music of the group is based on musical freedom but also the tradition of jazz. Tuomo Uusitalo’s Finnish trio gave out its second album “Sörkka” in February 2025 through the record company All4Corners Production. Uusitalo was awarded with the Pori Jazz 2023 Artist of the Year -prize and the drummer of the band, Roope Kantonen received recently the Musician of the Year -prize from Jazzmuusikot ry.
